- Ace Deuce: a one-roll proposition bet, meaning you bet that the next roll will be a 3 (2 and 1 on the dice).
- Aces: a proposition bet, you bet that the next roll will result in a 2 (in both). This bet is also known as ”snake eyes (Snake Eyes).
- Action (Action): bets that are currently active on the table.
- Advantage (advantage-percentage): the percentage that the casino has on a bet, i.e. the house edge.
- Against the dice (contra o dado): when you bet on the “Don't pass” and “don't come”, you are betting that the 7 will be rolled before the point number, therefore against the dice.
- Any craps (any dice): a proposition bet, you bet that the next roll will be a 2, 3 or 12. This bet pays 7: 1 and has a house edge of 11.1%.
- Any seven (any 7): a one-roll bet, that the next roll will be the 7. This bet pays 4:1.
- Apron: the material of the craps tables of a casino establishment, usually, made with felt.
- Back line (back line): another name for line Bet ”don't pass.
- Bank craps (database): the official name of the dice game. Craps is an abbreviation, although it is much more commonly used than " bank craps .
- Bar 12 (bar 12): When the result of a roll of dice of a 12 results in a " push (boost) for bets “dont pass” e “dont come”.
- Behind the line (behind the line): place odds on your pass/ come/ don't pass/ don't come bets. It is called Behind the line betting because there is no marked place on the table for the odds bets, you place the chips exactly behind your original bet on the table.
- Big 8: a bet that an 8 will come out before a 7. This bet pays 1:1 and has a house edge of 9.1%. Identical to the “place 8 "bet, but the ”place&event" bet.preventDefault (); window.location.href=' / go/'; 8221; for 7:6 and has a house edge of only 1.5%, making it a much more favorable option.
- Big 6: a bet that a 6 will come out before a 7. This bet pays 1:1, identical to the place bet, but the place pays 7: 6. The place 6 bet is much more advantageous, with the house edge being only 1.5%, while the big 6 bet is 9.1%.
- Big red: Another term used for the “place " bet on any 7.
- Black: slang used for $100 chips which, in most casinos, are black in color.
- Bones: slang for DICE.
- Bowl: a container made of plastic, metal or wood, depending on the casino, that holds the dice. It is placed next to the stickman on the table.
- Boxcars: bet that two 6s (a total of 12) will be played on the next roll of the dice.
- Boxman: The " dealer of the casino that sits in the middle at the table, being responsible for the action of the bet, for all chips and for the administration of all players. The boxman stands in front of the stickman.
- Box numbers: bet " Place for the numbers 4,5,6,8,9 and 10.
- Boys (or The Boys): a slang term used for craps dealers. However, not much used for female dealers.
- Buffalo: when you bet a 5-unit on each “hardways " number and any 7.
- Buffalo Yo: a 5-unit bet on each "hardways" number and on an 11.
- Bump: a term used to describe the break made by the dealer, when the craps table is with several employees and the table with few players.
- Buy Bet: the same as a bet " place, you bet on the numbers 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10, but you give the house a 5% commission, in exchange for real odds. Most casinos ask for a commission on the bet regardless of the outcome, others will allow players to keep the commission until the bet is actually won.
- C&E: this is a one round bet, on both: any craps (C) and Eleven (eleven) (E). It is a two-part BET where one unit is placed on any dice resulting in 2, 3 or 12 and another placed on 11. If the bet ”any craps win, the bet ”eleven loses and vice versa.
- Capped dice: it can be identified when you scratch it with your fingernail or a coin and leave a mark on them.
- Center bets: all mid-table bets & one-roll bets and proposition bets. Also called center field.
- Charting a table: when a player keeps track of the results of the rolls of the dice in order to play with a certain strategy.
- Cocked dice: dice that end at an angle, for example, against the table, rather than end flat. The final number is determined by looking at the natural angle of the die/dice and also, if the object it is leaning against were removed, the die would fall flat, so the number on top of the die is the final announced. This is determined by the stickman.
- Cold says: a term used when all shooters are rolling the 7 before the point number is made.
- Cold table: when all shooters on the table are rolling the 7, before the point is made.
- Color in: when you exchange smaller chips for higher value chips when you leave the table.
- Come bet (Bet " come): even if Pass-line bet, however, is made after the exit roll, once the point has already been made.
- Come out roll: term used for the first release of the game. All bets " pass and ”dont pass should be placed before this release. If the shooter rolls a 7 or 11, he wins with the ”pass&event " bet.preventDefault (); window.location.href=' / go/'; 8221; and loses to ”dont pass. - Corner red: the corner of the craps table layout where the bets ”big 6 and ”big 8, written in red.
- Crapless craps: this is a very unusual variant of dice, where the numbers 2, 3, 11 and 12 are all point numbers. This makes it impossible to lose on the first roll of the round, and you cannot win with an 11, leaving only one way to win on the exit roll, by rolling a 7. This increases the house edge to 5.4% on the pass bet. If you take odds behind this bet, it reduces to 2.9% and if you double the odds, it reduces to 2.1%. Reduces another 1% if you are able to " lay odds 5 times your original bet, but only if the casino allows you to multiply this amount. There is no bet " don t pass in this ”crapless craps. You can bet on the " place bets & 8221; 2, 3, 11 and 12 with a house percentage of 7.1%, with a payout of 11:2 for numbers 2 and 12. "Place 3 and 11 have a margin, slightly smaller, of 6.2% and pay 11:4. Buying bets also works in the same way and at the same odds as regular dice. This version of DICE is played in quite a few casinos in Las Vegas, the most famous being the Stratosphere, and are rarely found in online casinos.
- Crap out: when a shooter plays a 2, 3 or 12 and the round ends, switching shooters. It is also called " seven out .
- Craps: when the shooter plays 2, 3 or 12 on the first out roll. It is also the very name of the game.
- Craps numbers: the numbers 2, 3 and 12.
- Crew: the dealers at the craps table. Also called " the boys (the boys).
- Dead: a craps table with no players.

- Down (or take me down): phrase used by bettors, indicating to the dealer the desire for his bet to be removed and returned.
- Down behind: phrase announced by the dealer, indicating to a bettor that the BET has been lost.
- Duker: a reference to a large amount of money that is suddenly at stake on one or both sides of the table. This alerts the table staff that the action will be increased, as well as all chip colors will be in play. The term comes from the word ”Duke (Duke), indicating that a player has a lot of money.

- Hard way: when you launch the " hard way for the numbers 4, 6, 8, or 10, they should come in pairs 2-2, 3-3, 4-4 and 5-5. It is called the "hard way" because it is less common in pairs than rolling with different numbers on the dice.
